Train

It is best to travel to Saint Malo by high speed train (TGV) either direct from Paris (Montparnasse) or from Paris via Rennes (TGV Paris - Rennes, regional express TER Rennes - Saint Malo). Please note that you must reserve your ticket in advance for the TGV, you can do this using the following website:
http://www.tgv-europe.com/en

We suggest that if you plan on arriving on Sunday 13 June you take the direct TGV from Paris to Saint Malo which leaves Montparnasse at 15h00, arriving Saint Malo at 17h58. This train will be met by a free coach to take you to the Abbaye de Saint Jacut, leaving around 18h10 from the SNCF train station in Saint Malo.

If you plan on arriving on Monday 14 June, please take the direct TGV from Paris to Saint Malo which leaves Montparnasse at 07h30, arriving Saint Malo at 10h40. This train will also be met by a free coach to take you to the Abbaye de Saint Jacut, leaving around 10h50 from the SNCF train station in Saint Malo, arriving at the Abbaye in time for you to find your room and then get lunch before the start of the meeting.

Free coaches will also be available to take those delegates not staying on for the NSF Titan Chemistry workshop back to Saint Malo train station on Wednesday afternoon. Coaches will depart from the Abbaye for St Malo SNCF station at 12:00 and 14:00 on Wednesday 16 June for the trains to Paris via Rennes at 12:50 and 14:50.

Air

Ryan Air fly to Dinard (Pleurtuit) airport from the UK (London Stansted and East Midlands airports). Unfortunately the flight times do not work very well for this conference. However, if you wish to arrive early/leave later and enjoy the surrounding area, this might be an option.

Flybe, run a service from Southampton airport (with very good rail connections) to Rennes airport, from which you could transfer by bus/taxi to Rennes train station, and thence to Saint Malo.

For most people, the best option will probably be to travel via Paris Charles de Gaulle Airport. In that case, you can either go via central Paris and take the train from Montparnasse, or book a direct train to Rennes from the TGV station using CDG as the departure point. The trains leave directly from Terminal 2 at Charles de Gaulle, but are rather infrequent. Alternatively you can go into Paris and take a train from Montparnasse to Saint Malo either direct or via Rennes. See above for booking trains.
